Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 Story

Gogo (Kartik Aaryan) Thakur (Omkar Kapoor) and Sidharth (Sunny Singh) are good friends and roommates. All the three guys fall in love with three different girls on the same day.

Gogo falls for Ruchika (Nushrat Bharucha), who gives more importance to friends than her boyfriend. She is a spoilt brat. Thakur surrenders for Kusum, who thoroughly controls his boyfriend as a TV remote and make him dance to her tunes. She makes him spend a lot on her. Supriya captures Sidharth and makes him do all the household chores to impress her parents and get their nod for the marriage.

By now, you might have came to a conclusion that, there is no new thing in the film and yes you are right.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 Analysis

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 Movie Review and Rating

‘Pyaar Ka Punch Nama 2’ runs on romcom genre, through which hilarious episodes are possible to create. There are many situations in the movie, where every guy can relate to. The first half is breezy and has good pace with fine women bashing jokes like saying, how can a woman have male best friends, where she do not even have a single female friend. On the whole, the interval block was the best part, where they took a dig at the smoking disclaimers.

There is no much uniqueness in the movie. Most of the scenes are predictable. Especially, if you have already watched the first part, the second part has nothing new. The director tried to deviate from the first part by changing few relations like ex-boyfriend being best friend, throwing in the girl’s family in the mix etc. But none works unique and the points are already touched in several movies and in fact in the first part too. On the whole, Pyaar Ka Punch Nama 2 has regular comedy, which is still hilarious to enjoy.

Performance

The three male lead gave a natural performance and are apt to the characters. In monologue scene, Karthik Aaryan’s experience of being in the first part, can be felt. Omkar’s charming smile is an added advantage to increase his performance levels. Sunny Singh is no Divyendu Sharma this time, but still has a lovable screen presence.

Coming the heroines, all the three are very hot and adequate. To pick one, I feel Nusrat Bharucha deserves a bit higher score over the rest, for her princess act.

There are only three songs in the movie and are not that disturbing. Luv Ranjan needs a loud applause for his hilarious dialogues. The lingo that has been used in the film is straight out of real life, laced with some crackling and witty one-liners. The cinematography is ok and editing is crisp. The production values are rich.

Luv Ranjan directional skills are terrific, but there is nothing new to speak about the film. He tried to create the same magic and is successful in doing so.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 Final Word

If you did not see the first part, you will hilariously enjoy every scene, bursting out laughing in the theatre. If you have seen the first part, you can still have comfortable smiles, unless and until you expect nothing unique.
