Aa Okkati Adakku Story

Ganapathi (Allari Naresh), an employee at a sub registrar's office, faces a setback in his personal life as his wedding plans are continuously postponed due to his family responsibilities. Unfortunately, his prolonged singlehood makes it difficult for him to find a suitable life partner. Frustrated by this situation, Ganapathi decides to explore matrimonial websites in the hopes of finding love. It is during this search that he encounters Siddhi, a woman who captures his heart. However, Siddhi rejects his advances without hesitation. To add to the confusion, rumors start circulating about Siddhi being a fraud who deceives people on matrimonial websites for financial gain. Who exactly is Siddhi? What motivates her to deceive others? And will Ganapathi be able to overcome these obstacles and marry her? All the answers in Aa Okkati Adakku. 

Aa Okkati Adakku Analysis

Aa Okkati Adakku, directed by EVV, the father of Allari Naresh, has achieved cult status in Telugu cinema. It's worth noting that the same title has been used again, with the added bonus of Allari Naresh's presence in the film. Naturally, this raised high expectations for the movie. Furthermore, the filmmakers marketed it as a pure comedy caper. However, the unfortunate reality is that Aa Okkati Adakku is not a comedy caper at all. Instead, it is a serious film that explores the mishaps that occur through matrimonial websites. The introduction of Allari Naresh and his scenes with Jamie Level are well done and enjoyable. Additionally, there is a hilarious scene featuring Vennela Kishore at the dining table. Unfortunately, apart from these moments, the film lacks comedy. Moreover, many scenes are unnecessarily prolonged, which significantly harms the overall narrative.

The flashback sequences appear quite foolish and fail to make an impression at any point. Numerous scenes do not contribute to the storyline, resulting in a tedious viewing experience. Moreover, the post-interval scenes become reminiscent of a television serial, dragging on and on. The film also touches on this aspect, but it presents it in a documentary-style manner. Although the film's trailers promote it as a comedic adventure, it is actually a sincere drama that tackles a relatable issue. Therefore, those who expect Allari Naresh's trademark comedy will be disappointed, as Aa Okkati ultimately tries too hard to impress and fails to deliver.

Performance

Allari Naresh shines in the role of Ganapathi, the aspiring family man. His comedic timing is impressive, although his character lacks the necessary humor. In the second half of the film, he appears somewhat lost. Faria Abdullah delivers a neat performance and shares good chemistry with Allari Naresh. Jamie Lever makes a remarkable debut in Aa Okkati Adakku, showcasing her excellent comedic timing and expressive acting. With proper utilization, she has the potential to excel in the Telugu film industry. Unfortunately, Goparaju Ramana, Prudhvi, and other supporting actors are not effectively utilized in the story.

The director of the film failed in several aspects. Malli's writing is exceptionally poor. The cinematography is average and fails to impress. Gopi Sundar's music composition is decent, with the only song being well-done. However, the background music is overly loud and does not blend well with the narrative. The film lacks impactful comedic punches, mainly due to weak dialogue and writing.
