Anushka Shetty who was born on this day in 1981 at Mangalore, Karnataka became part of Telugu Cinema after her successful portrayal of Arundhati.
Anushka entered Telugu Cinema with Puri Jagannadha’s ‘Super’ in 2005 with Akkineni Nagarjuna acted later with all top heroes. She acted with Ravi Teja in ‘Vikramarkudu’, with Chiranjeevi in ‘Stalin’, with Mahesh Babu in ‘Khaleja’, Jagapati Babu in ‘Swagatham’, Gopi Chand in ‘Souryam’, Prabhas in ‘Billa’. She portrayed a prostitute in ‘Vedam’ which was critically acclaimed.
Anushka could get success in Tamil films also with the film ‘Rendu’ directed by Sundar C. Anushka never tried in Hindi films like other heroines did. She expressed her satisfaction with Telugu and Tamil movies.
She completed 37 movies during her 8 years film career. One film ‘Varna’ is in post production in Telugu and Tamil and two films ‘Bahubali’ and ‘Rudramadevi’ are in making in Telugu and Tamil. Her first look from ‘Rudramadevi’ was released yesterday by Gunasekhar and her first look in ‘Bahubali’ will be released today by Rajamouli.
