Gunasekhar's Rudramadevi movie is going to have a flavor of Zabardast as the ETV program's famous anchor Anasuya is offered a key role in the film.

Gunasekhar is producing the film under the banner of Guna Team Works based on the historical events of Rani Rudramadevi title role of which is being played by Anushka Shetty.  Rana, Krishnamraju, Prakash Raj and Raviteja are going to appear in important roles.

Ilayaraja is scoring music for the film Rudramadevi.

Anasuya who became famous because of her anchoring for the comedy show Zabardast previously turned down an offer to dance with Pawan Kalyan in the movie Attarintiki Daredi as she did not want to be one in a mob where she cannot show her acting talent and hardly will get recognition. Her wait proved fruitful as she is given an important role in the film Rudramadevi so that she can show her acting prowess.
