Ind Vs Aus: India continue to crush Aussies, 378/1

India is clearly at an advantage in the game right after seizing the game from the Australians on the first day itself when the latter were forced to concede their game with one wicket remaining in hand. Probably, Skipper Michael Clarke was looking at some early wickets deciding to declare the game just with 237 runs and one more wicket in hand but luck has favored the home team who continue to mercilessly thrash the Aussies for their mistake. Indians before lunch stand at an impressive 378/1.

Although Sehwag lost ground very soon after the Indian innings begun, Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara took control very soon while scoring runs at a painful rate, for the Australians. Worse still, they batted consistently building up partnership with every over bowled. Pujara and Vijay are now nearing the highest partnership for the second wicket against the Australians, all time, as their partnership stands just over 360 runs. No team, for their second wicket has ever scored 380 runs in partnership against Australia but that is soon going to be history.

On day 1, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar brought in an early aggressiveness as he ended the day with three wickets in his pocket. Assistance from R Jadeja and Doosra star Harbhajan Singh who claimed two and three wickets respectively sealed the performance from the Aussies. The star of first test was not so lucky in the second as he got only one wicket to his name. Australians were restricted to 237/9 and India already has a healthy lead of 141 runs.
