A bloody incident occurred at Oscar Pistorious' house when he murdered his girlfriend, shooting her four times with his gun. While all the doubts were put to rest if he was accidentally shooting in a case of mistaken identity, taking her for the burglar who was trying to enter his house, all the evidence points to him making it a strong case against Pistorious.

It was known that Reeva Stenkamp, Oscar's modeling and MBA graduate girlfriend, had been having a secret affair with an national rugby star and this could have been the reason for the murder, sources said, further weakening his excuse of mistaken identity.

One paper attributed his violent mode to the steroids he might have consumed as an paralympic athlete becoming the blade runner, which could have caused roid rage, an aggressive behavior that is generally connected with excessive steroids.

A bloody bat was also found at the house but it is not known clearly whether Reeva used it on Oscar or vice versa. Oscar shot Reeva in the hip once after which she fleed towards the bathroom where she was shot thrice again.

However, the family still maintains that Pistorious mistook her for a burglar and was "numb with shock as well as grief". If convicted of premeditated murder, he will have to serve a life sentence.
