At the age of 14, you would have been playing cricket in your streets and jumping joyously over a well hit six. Same is not the case for Arman. His aims are lofty and so is his execution. He and his partner Siddharth Singh, playing for Mumbai Under-16 in Harris shield had almost broke the legendary record held by Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli for their partnership of 664 runs. Siddharth Singh was dismissed at 177 only 33 runs before the record partnership in the match.

However, his hunt for records has not ended there in the match. He went on to score a whopping 473 in just 359 deliveries, 65 boundaries, 16 sixes and a hell of a focus, becoming the highest scorer in Harris Sheild. He is also the only under-16 player in Vijay Merchant Cricket to score over 1000 runs in an year with this stint.

"The best part about my batting is that I don't have any preconceived notions. I don't think much. The only thing that matters is the attack. I have my methods of dealing with each bowling attack. Once I have sorted that out, runs begin to flow," he says.

A highly focused 14 year old with such achievements? This boy is surely going to be big if he continues with the same focus and determination. The future of Indian cricket looks bright.
