India shivers as England roars

Pathetic day for India on the fourth day in Eden Gardens at the third test match of the Ind vs Eng series. Kolkata saw a different India, shivering under the English cold wave. The guests who are level in the series in the first two matches are preparing to grab this match, in a royal fashion. Once again Team India showed it's wriggling self as the opponents were giggling with bouncers. Got to wait for comments from the Indian skipper as to whom he would blame for this failure.

In contrast to our expectations the visitors wound up their innings by scoring 523 runs setting a target of  208 runs to win. As usual the home team succombed to pressure and were 155 for six at tea. Openers Gautham Gambhir and Virendra Sehwag scored some formidable runs between them and made 40 and 49 runs respectively. The rest were just ornamental in their approach. Master Batsman Sachin Tendulkar could just scratch a mere five runs in six balls. He went down in the most miserable way. Indians lag behind the visitors by 52 runs. Virat Kohli with 20 and Ravichandra Ashwin with 17 runs are at the crease. Will they make it or not?

On the bowling fronts Pragyan Ojha and Ashwin grabbed 4 and three wickets respectively. On the other hand the English bowlers were fierce in their approach. Inspite of their fielders missing some brilliant catches they were able to get the best of the home team. Graeme Swan and James Anderson hauled two each wickets and the match is in progress.

At this juncture with one full day left the home team needs to go slow and play till first half of Day 5, by settimg a target of 200 odd runs, in order to make the match tough for the visitors. Is it possible...well cricket is a game of uncertainity and anything could happen anytime...(Wishesh-AarKay)
