Rayudu likely to be part of national teamYoung Ambati Rayudu and veteran Subramanium Badrinath, who have put up impressive show so far in the on-going IPL season 4, are likely to board the flight to the Caribbeans as part of the Indian cricket team that will tour West Indies shortly after the IPL campaign ends.

The national selectors are likely to include the two players in the ODI squad that will tour the West Indies when they meet in Chennai on Friday.

Leg-spinner Rahul Sharma of the Pune Warriors is also likely to be included in the team as he had an astonishing economy rate of less than six through 10 matches.

While Virender Sehwag will be rested because of his shoulder injury, Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan also want to rest for a while. Even skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni also expressed a wish to take a break before the Test series in the West Indies that will be followed by a tour of England.

In this scenario, Rayudu, who has so far scored 349 runs from 10 games with a strike rate of nearly 120, is likely to be included in the team.

Badrinath, who had scored a whopping 922 runs at an average of 131 followed by 294 runs in the IPL so far at a strike-rate of 135, also stands a good chance to accompany the team.
