OMC case: Srilakshmi's judicial custody extended

The CBI Special Court in Nampally of Hyderabad has extended the judicial custody of former IAS officer Srilakshmi to July 18. It is known that Srilakshmi is accused of irregularities in allotments of mines in Anantapur district. She was arrested by CBI earlier for alloting iron mines to Gali Janardhan Reddy's Obulapuram Mining Company. Since Supreme Court ordered probe into OMC irregularities, CBI took up the case. Another accused in the case, Rajagopal is also under judicial custody and court has extended his judicial custody too till July 18.

Srilakshmi allegedly passed a controversial government order during YS Rajashekara Reddy's government. Notably, CBI is handling two cases, which are related to irregularities during YSR regime. One is illegal assets case and the other is Obulapuram Mining Company.
