Petition Challenging Babri Masjid Demolition Judgement:- A petition was filed by the two residents of Ayodhya on friday in Allahabad High Court on Babri Masjid demolition case verdict which was given few months back by CBI special court. The petition was on challenging the acquittal of all 32 accused, including BJP veterans leaders L K Advani, Kalyan Singh and Murli Manohar Joshi.

The two natives of Ayodhya were Haji Mehboob and Haji Saiyyad Akhlaq Ahmad filed the revision petition with the Lucknow bench of Allahabad high court on behalf of AIMPLB (All India Muslim Personal Law Board).

The Counsel of Petitioners said that the duo challenged the special court’s verdict on Babri Masjid demolition case after the CBI did not approach the Allahabad high court against the acquittal of all 32 accused by the special court.

Haji Mehboob and Haji Ahmad both have been presented themselves as the witnesses in the Babri Masjid demolition case and also as harmed persons in the Babri mosque demolition riots on December 6, 1992.

After 28 years of the demolition of Babri Masjid, the CBI special court in its 2,300 pages judgement accused all the 32 people, including BJP leader Uma Bharati and others saying that there was no conclusive evidence that they hatched any conspiracy to demolish the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.

Next week the case will be likely to come up for hearing in the High Court.
