Aussie cricketer Hughes hit on head

Australian Test batsman Philip Hughes was stuck on head by Sean Abbott in South Australia’s Sheffield Shield clash with New South Wales. Hughes had been leaving short balls, but had a go at one from Abbott and misjudged it, and was hit in the head. Hughes fell on the ground immediately after being hit on the head and fielding side had immediately called for a medical help.

Three ambulances and a helicopter arrived at the ground to transport Hughes urgently as the medical help said, the injury was a severe one. The incident took place at 2:23 PM local time and the play was officially abandoned after the accident. Hughes was admitted at St Vincent’s hospital in Sydney where his condition was reported to be critical.
