TDP Saved From T Blame

The Telangana issue now is shifted to Delhi to the relief of Telugu Desam Party.  Recent movements of the Congress leaders to and fro Delhi, Core Committee meeting and the statements of the State in Charge Digvijay Singh made it clear that the T ball is in the court of the Center.  Now as at this juncture Congress party cannot disown its responsibility of Telangana issue, TDP is relieved from the blames for the delay in the formation of Telangana by all other parties.

TDP faced a lot of opposition due to Telangana issue.  The TDP Chief’s comments were distorted by Congress and TRS parties to suit the charges they made on TDP in connection to the Telangana Statehood.  Although TDP repeatedly said that it sticks to the letter they gave long back about their stand on Telangana, the party was always targeted by TRS, Congress and YSR Congress Parties.  They went to the extent of calling TDP the culprit in the delayed decision on Telangana.

TDP was forced to declare their stand on Telangana Statehood in their annual party meeting Mahanadu.  All the time the Congress party was dodging with an excuse that all party agreement is needed and as the main opposition party in the State, TDP was continuously blamed in that issue.

But as now it became very clear that only Congress Party at the Center and that too only the President of AICC Sonia Gandhi will pronounce the final word, TDP is relieved of the burden and is able to concentrate on other issues related to the strengthening of the party for the 2014 elections.

Recently even at one time the Congress party leaders of Andhra region tried to throw the blame on TDP for the acceptance for a division of the State.  But soon it subsided with the different statements coming from the State Congress itself.

Now, with the happenings at Delhi, not only TDP but all the parties are observing silence on T issue including TRS which claims of emerging only for the Telangana movement.  Only comments of different nature we hear are from Congress party which was silent for a long time when other parties were talking about Telangana!

Watching all this, the seasoned politician Chandra Babu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party President asked all of the leaders of the party to refrain from commenting on Telangana at this time because the smears that were leaving the party should not come back with a comment of someone to trigger counter comments from other parties that may finally land the party again in the T problem.
