TSRTC Strike Reaches 40 Days: One More Employee Kills Self:- The TSRTC employees went on an indefinite strike after the government rejected to fulfill their demands. The strike entered 40th day and the resolution is yet to be made. Avila Naresh who is working as a bus driver in Mahabubabad committed suicide. He has been working for the bus depot from the past 15 years. Fearing of losing job and not receiving salary from the past two months, he killed himself. His family members are left in deep shock with the sudden demise of Naresh.

Hundreds of TSRTC employees and activists rushed to take his body to Mahabubabad depot. A protest was staged demanding justice for his family. The cops rushed to the spot to bring things into control. Till date, four employees committed suicide and more than ten people passed away due to heart attacks. Naresh penned a suicide note which was acquired by the cops. District SP Koti Reddy said that the concerns and demands for ex gratia to Naresh’s family were brought to the District Collector’s notice.

Telangana government on the other hand hired private drivers to run TSRTC services in the state. Telangana Chief Minister KCR announced the privatisation of the corporation.
