After BJP, Shiv Sena Gets a Shock in Maharashtra:- The Maharashtra politics are taking unexpected turns after no single party got complete majority. In a shocking move, BJP refused to form the government after differences cropped up between BJP and Shiv Sena. The state's Governor then invited Shiv Sena to form the government and a deadline was imposed. Shiv Sena could not prove their strength and they requested more time but the Governor refused. Shiv Sena was left in shock as they could not utilize the opportunity as they were focused on Chief Minister's chair. In a fresh twist, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari invited Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

NCP too has been given 24 hours to prove their strength. NCP and Congress had an alliance during the polls when BJP and Shiv Sena decided to join hands. NCP and Congress has 98 MLAs. They will now need the support of Shiv Sena which has 56 MLAs. The only chance to form the government is that NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena should join hands. Sharad Pawar is in touch with Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray seeking their support. If NCP fails to get the support of 145 MLAs, the governor will conclude that no party can form the government.

The President's rule will be imposed in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena lost a golden chance and it will now have to join hands with  NCP and Congress if they wish to be a part of the Maharashtra government. BJP is just calm and is looking at the happening developments.
