Congress Manifesto Promises Special Status For Andhra Pradesh:- AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi released the manifesto of Congress last evening which had its focus on farmers, education and benefits for the poor. Rahul Gandhi's statement of providing Rs 72,000 per annum for five crore poor families shook the nation. Now the manifesto has big offerings for the poor and the middle class. Keeping these aside, the manifesto also revealed that Congress will provide Special Status Category for Andhra Pradesh if they form the government in the country.
BJP betrayed Andhra Pradesh and did not grant special status. AP Government along with the people are not happy with Narendra Modi ignoring the state. It is during this time, Rahul Gandhi came out with this move which may sure leave BJP in deep shock. Even during the recent public meetings, Narendra Modi never spoke about special status for Andhra Pradesh. He was busy making allegations on Chandra Babu Naidu. "Congress will give Special Category status to Andhra Pradesh as promised by Dr. Manmohan Singh on February 20, 2014 in the Rajya Sabha," read Congress manifesto.
