TDP To Bring Out Youth Manifesto To Promote Entrepreneurship:- The Telugu Desam Party is bringing out a youth manifesto with specific measures focusing on employment, entrepreneurship and related issues, for the first time ever in the country.

Headed by finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the party manifesto committee discussed some innovative ideas at the Chief Minister’s residence at Undavalli on Friday for consideration in the preparation of manifesto for the ensuing general elections.

The committee members talked about various policies to be introduced for young persons or youth like loans to youth through banks, youth corporation, establishment dairy units, subsidies for their industries, fodder, and feed production, cold storages and many other asset creations and entrepreneurship-oriented issues for about two-and-a-half hours, according to sources.

The party is said to be promising a Youth Manifesto solely to promote entrepreneurship as there are many hurdles in ensuring loans to them through banks in the current scenario.

The corporation is proposed to promote young entrepreneurs from every last sections of society, with no reference to caste or any other marker. Regarding the agriculture sector, the manifesto aims to increase storage facility by encouraging the building of godowns, especially the cold storage units in both urban and rural areas.

Encouraging cold storages and godowns through small scale industries sector is expected to provide more jobs to semi-skilled and unskilled youth in their respective areas.

The state government also found that there is a huge possibility that needs to be tapped in this sector. The state government has been establishing mandal-specific small-scale economic zones to pull in rural youth and self-help group members in small businesses.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his address on occassion of International Women’s day at his residence announced that he will encourage the SHG members in establishing their enterprises and assured that he will provide necessary trunk infrastructure, create a potential market for finished goods and services at these mandal level economic zones.

On the other hand, focusing on the rural unemployed youth, who are involved in agriculture and related sectors, the TDP is going to make a special promise for dairy-related policies. It chiefly will concentrate on establishing feed production units across the state.

The state government has hitherto prepared a ground for skill upgradation via several ongoing programs and has been providing unemployment allowance to all the eligible youth. It has a bigger task of providing employment to the youth, who completed at the minimum graduation.

With the help of survey, the TDP leaders have noticed that most of the youth who have been getting benefits under Mukyamantri Yuva Nestam (unemployment dole) are reluctant to migrate from their native place to other areas.

In the aftermath of this, the TDP has decided to encourage local talent by creating opportunities at their areas. For this, industries which can live on local human resources and raw material will be encouraged.

Establishing cultural centers to encourage youth-oriented activities and payment of stipend for postgraduate students of medicine will be some other issues that can breakthrough a place in the youth manifesto.
