Jagan's indefinite fast for AP special status

Demanding the special status to Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP chief YS Jagan announced an  indefinite fast in Guntur from September 15.

Special status issue is day by day getting viral in Andhra Pradesh and there is no positive move from the centre, regarding the issue. In fact, a few AP leaders like JC Diwakar Reddy are openly stating that, AP will never get special status. His latest comments on the issue, is giving the AP officials and the common public sleepless nights.

On the contrary, YS Jagan is making his best efforts to fight against the centre for the special status. He recently conducted a 'Deeksha' regarding the special status to Andhra Pradesh and also a few of the protests in Delhi. All the parties supported it. Now Jagan has again announced that he is going to perform another strike, for a indefinite period.

Speaking about this, Jagan said, “It has been 15 months, since Chandrababu Naidu came to  the power. The promise of special status was given by the then Prime Minister and also opposition in Rajya Sabha. It appears that it has gone into thin air. There is no answer when we asked when it would be implemented.”

Jagan expressed complete disappointment on TDP government and opined that it cannot convince the government, as the state government itself is not willing to do. Jagan demanded to Naidu to resign from the power, upon his failure of procuring the special status.

The same issue is even dealt in the assembly sessions and a tug of war is going on between Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan is cornering Naidu for the suicides committed by the people for the special status.

However, finally, the indefinite strike now has created a good buzz among the political strike. If this is held as announced, then Jagan has every possibility to reach more hearts in AP.
