PM's Intervention Sought in Bifurcation

Telugu Desam President Chandra Babu Naidu wrote a letter to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to intervene in the bifurcation proceedings of the State to curb the situation in the State before it goes out of hands.

He pointed out in his letter that the Congress Party is only looking from the point of view of its political gains unmindful of the disturbances, protests and possible clashes between the regions.

He explained the announcement of Telangana Statehood by the Congress party that triggered an unprecedented agitation from the people of all walks of life like employees, students, youth, farmers, women, professionals, handicraftsmen and many others by coming on to the roads protesting against the decision of the CWC.   Chandra Babu complained that the Center after the announcement hurting the sentiments of the people of Seemandhra is just sitting cool on the issue without bothering for the raising disturbances continuously for the last 11 days.

Chandra Babu said that the decision involving 8.5 crores of people in Seemandhra is expected to be taken taking all parties in to confidence.

He pointed out that the Capital of Hyderabad is developed with a combined effort and depriving them of the development is causing anxiety in the minds of the Seemandhra people.

Chandra Babu requested Manmohan Singh to intervene into it immediately without any further delay to solve it before it becomes too difficult to handle at a later stage.
