The famous film producer and Head of Anand Regency Hotels Akkineni Ravi Shankara Prasad who had been missing since 8th July, was found dead.
Ravi Shankar went out from his Yanam residence in the early hours of morning on 8th July clad in jogging dress. As he did not return, a missing case was filed by the police and a search was on for him.
His body was found in the bushes in Gogula Lanka Village in I.Polavaram Mandal. The body was decomposed beyond recognition. The family members recognized it as Ravi Shankar’s body.
Ravi Shankara Prasad, grandson of famous producer L.V.Prasad produced many films and among them are Megastar Chiranjeevi acted hit movies, “Shankar Dada MBBS” and “Shankar Dada Zindabad”. He also made many films under the banner of Gemini Film Circuit.
Ravi Shankara Prasad’s family members said that he had no enmity with any one as he always helped others in the business but never made any thing wrong to anyone to have a grudge against him. They also ruled out facing of financial problems or family disputes. As such it cannot be a murder or a suicide. They suspect an accident on the road in the early hours that might have made the driver afraid of the consequences and he could have been dumped in the river.
But as no wounds were found on the body of Ravi Shankara Prasad, police could not come to any conclusion. After postmortem is conducted the body will be taken to Chennai to perform last rites to him.
