Finally here's some piece of news to hope for the best this summer! AP Transco CMD Hiralal Samariya has said that all steps are being taken to minimize the power cuts this summer. Speaking about the steps being implemented so far in connection with the same, Mr Samariya stressed tenders were invited for to purchase 880 megawatts of electricity.

Also, he mentioned that electricity was purchased from power exchanges at reasonable prices. In addition to all these, the government had sketched a design to generate another 500 megawatts of electricity through mini hydel procedure, he added.

It may be noted that people in the state have been going through tough times due to frequent power cuts that are lasting for hours together. Astonishingly, twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are no exceptions. Lets hope that power cuts are reduced at the earliest!
