TDP shock treatment to CM's 'power bill' hike!

The power charges hike by the ruling party for the second time in the last six months has irked the public much. Telugu Desam party has taken the issue forward by demanding the Congress government to role back the hike.

The opposition party had organized stirs at various district headquarters on the issue. As per latest reports senior leaders of the TDP like Errabelli Dayakar Rao, C.M. Ramesh and Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu are squatting outside the Chief Minister's office in the C-block of the Secretariat. Security forces have beefed up that area as the leaders were forcing their way into the office.

TDP leaders want N Kiran Kumar Reddy to roll back the proposed hike immediately. They also wanted the government to give firm assurances over the issue. The protestors are in no mood to leave the venue without their demands being fulfilled. Earlier TDP wanted to hold protests at the Vidyuth Sowdha but found the present venue more effective.

However the leaders also wanted their party cadre arrested in Karimnagar today, to be released unconditionally. The arrested included two MLAs who were held responsible for the destruction of property while protesting on the issue at the district Electricity office. TDP felt that this treatment is required to make Congress mend its ways. (Wishesh AarKay)
