Morning Wishesh: Happy World Water Monitoring Day

Hi! Hello! Adab!

Its a pleasant day out here at Hyderabad. Busy shopping on the cards for the Ganesh Chaturthi to be celebrated on September 19, tomorrow. Ganeshji is the most adored of all Gods, reasons being that we first pray to him before starting anything good. As per the Hindu myth, Bal Ganesh is the God who helps one tide over all hurdles in completing the assumed task, if first prayed to him. Well now let's take a quick look at the happenings round us in your Mornings Wishesh.

History Speaks: Hyderabad Nawab formally agrees to join his princely state as an integral part of the Indian Nation.  Today is also considered as a dreadful day when the first anthrax powder filled envelope was delivered to a recipient in 2003.

Days Specialty: Today is World water monitoring day, founded by the America's Clean Water Foundation in the year 2003. It is stated that 'World Water Monitoring Day is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness of the importance of protecting water resources around the world by engaging people to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies.' At least today lets all join and promise to save every drop of water for our future generations. As water unsaved will not last for long.

Celebrity Corner: It is Director and actor Upendra's day. Small screen character actor Maha Rishi Raghava also celebrates the day. Lets all join and wish them a very happy birthday.

Tirupati: Devotees rush normal and sources say that only 5 compartments are filled with devotees to have a glimpse of the Lord. Ordinary darshan will just take three hours for the devotees in queue. Ideal time to have a darshan of the lord of seven hills.  For stats 62,883 visited the holy shrine on Monday. The  much awaited  Brahmotsavam commence today, with an early hours pooja invoking the Gods and Goddess of the Hindu Myth. Yesterday the lord was taken out on a procession and then was presented with silk garments. It is festive time out here in Tirumala.

Hyderabad: Assembly sessions start on a chaotic note yesterday. TRS, left and Bjp created the commotion by urging the speaker to set in motion for discussion on the Telangana bill. After three times adjournment the proceedings were posted to Tuesday.   The hsort monsoon session has only five day tenure and already one day is wasted say observers.

T20 World Cup 2012: In second warm up match between India and Pakistan, the green brigade conquers the Indian blues. Indians could make it hey even after scoring 185 runs. Pakistan dominated the Indians in all departments of the game. Thank God there is no immediate encounter between the two on the anvil. The only chance is if they both catch up in semis or finals.

Fdi in Retail: No going back says Finance Minister P Chidambaram. All one can expect is more reforms on the anvil. Are we sold out ask oppositions, protesting the proposed proposal. An all-party bandh is called by most parties other then Congress, on September 20, opposing the proposal.

Barfi movie: The success of this film puts Ileana D'Cruz on cloud nine. The film hits records at box office. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
