The Government Whip in the Legislative Council Rudraraju Padmaraju hailed the late chief minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy.  He said on Saturday that YSR was still an asset to the Congress party and said one lakh rupees would be given to the kin and kith of those who committed suicide after the sudden demise of the then chief minister.

Mr Padmaraju has also said that the PCC collection the list of the victims and sent it across to the high command for the approval. The amount would soon be distributed among the families, he added.  It may be noted that tomorrow, September 2 is the third death anniversary of YS Rajashekara Reddy. He died in a chopper crash at Pavurala Gutta. After YSR's death, his wife Vijayamma and YS Jaganmohan Reddy moved out of Congress and formed YSR Congress party and won as the MP from the new party.
