Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths have arrested the suspended CBI judge Justice Pattabhi Raman Rao for acceptance of bribe to grant bail on ex minister of Karnataka, Gali Janardhan Reddy. The ACB said earlier that Pattabhi accepted a bribe amount of six-crore rupees. Notably, his house was raided on three days ago. Already Justice Pattabhi is facing suspension and now he got arrested. Andhra Pradesh Chief Justice suspended Pattabhi over the allegations.

It may be recalled that when CBI Court was trying Gali Janardhan Reddy's case in illegal mining case, Raman Rao was the justice hearing the case. On May 11, he granted bail to Gali. Later a probe was conducted by ACB and accused him for accepting bribe in granting bail. Although Gali was granted bail, he was, however, in jail in Bangalore in connection with other case. And recently Andhra Pradesh high court has set aside the bail granted by Pattabhi Raman Rao.
