CBI grills officials in Jagan, Emaar cases

The CBI has been moving fast to complete the investigation in the illegal properties case involving the YSR Congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy and in the APIIC-Emaar land scam.

As the special CBI court has fixed dates for the submission of charge sheets in the two cases, the apex investigating agency is under pressure to complete the probe at a faster pace.

The CBI officials today called senior IAS officer and secretary in the Major Irrigation department Mr Aditya Das to their make shift office at the Dilkusha Guest house in Hyderabad and asked for the details of the irrigation contracts given to the persons who invested in the companies owned by Jagan.

The IAS officer was asked to furnish the details of contracts and their sanctioning dates. Reports said a special CBI team has been already busy collecting information on the land allotments made to the Penna Cements which invested in Jagan-owned companies.

In the Emaar-APIIC land scam, the CBI has called for certain files and documents from the APIIC today. Some senior officials were also called for interrogation. (JUBS)
