Vijayamma approaches SC, seeks transfer of case

There seems to be no end to the saga of controversies surrounding the vacation petitions filed by former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and others seeking to vacate its earlier orders directing the CBI and ED to conduct preliminary probe into allegations of misuse of power and accumulation of illegal wealth by him during his stint as CM.

Pulivendula MLA YS Vijayamma today filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking to transfer the hearing of the petitions filed by former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and others in AP High Court either to another state high court or to the Supreme Court saying she had no faith that justice would be done there.

However, it is not yet clear whether her transfer petition will be admitted by the apex court and if yes, when it will come up for hearing.

A division bench of the high court, consisting of the justices Rohini and Ashutosh Mahanta, heard the arguments on behalf of Naidu and Eenadu Group chairman Ramoji Rao today on their vacation petitions but adjourned further hearing of the case till tomorrow. (JUBS)
