Telangana congress MP Mr Gutta Sukhendar Reddy said today they would boycott the AP Formation Day celebrations on Nov 1.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, Mr Reddy said that no congress MP of the region would attend the function celebrated officially by the Government. “We have also decided to support the fast being undertaken by the former minister Komati reddy Venkata reddy for the cause of Telangana from Nov 1,” he said.

Meanwhile, TRS chief KCR also announced his party’s full support to the Komatireddy’s fast and called upon the Telangana protagonists to participate in the programme in large numbers.

In tune with the stance taken by KCR, Political JAC chairman Prof Kodanda Ram also appealed to people to observe the day as black day and express their protests for delaying the creation of Telangana state. “It should be treated as the day of betrayal,” said Kodanda ram in a statement.
