After most of the T congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs and the TDP MLAs had quit their legislative and parliamentary seats, TRS founder president and MP Mr K. Chandrasekhara Rao and his colleague and cine actress Vijayasanthi had also resigned their Lok Sabha seats.

KCR sent his resignation letter to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha Ms Meira Kumar late Monday night through fax and this morning Vijayasanthi followed suit.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, TRS leader Harish Rao said KCR had resigned in support of the MLAs and MPs of the congress and DTP who have put in their papers for the sake of Telangana.

Meanwhile, reports said the two TDP MPs Mr Nama Nageswara Rao and Ramesh Rathod have also resigned from Lok Sabha. Both of them have met the Speaker Ms Meira Kumar in her chambers in the Parliament House and submitted their papers.
