Naidu meets Guv, demands special session

Naidu meets Guv, demands special session A team of TDP leaders led by the party president and opposition leader in the assembly N. Chandrababu Naidu met the Governor ESL Narasimhan this afternoon at Raj Bhavan and demanded him to convene a special session of the assembly enabling the government to prove its majority.

After the Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the assembly sine die with out mentioning the notice of no-confidence motion after the election of the Deputy Speaker, TDP MLAs resorted to a dharna at the Speaker’s podium demanding the Chair to take up their no confidence motion.

Later they held meeting under the leadership of Naidu and decided to urge the governor to call a special session of the assembly to take up their no-confidence motion. They then straightway went to meet the governor.
