With the opening of its budget session, tension returned to the assembly premises today as some TRS members attacked the Lok Satta chief Jaya Prakash Narayana at the media point soon after Governor ESL Narasimhan completed his speech.

Reports said that TRS members Aravinda reddy manhandled and beat JP at the media point in the assembly premises while he was speaking to the media persons and JP reportedly fell down. Marshalls prevented the TRS member Harish Rao and others from staging a fierce attack on JP, according to reports. Earlier, Harish rao had a fierce argument with JP.
MLC Paladugu Venkat rao was also severely injured in an attack by the TRS members in the assembly, according to some reports. TRS leader KT Rama Rao however denied the report and said that they only tried to prevent him from speaking to the media for a long time.
