The French diplomat, Pascal Mazurier, an accused in a rape case got a bail on Wednesday. The Karnataka High Court granted bail Pascal. It may be noted that Pascal was accused of raping his three-and-half year old daughter. His wife, Suja Jones Mazurier,  filed a complaint with the police under IPC Section 376 and 354 with the help of an NGRO and Pacal was subsequently arrested on June 19.

It has to be mentioned here that on June 13, 2012 Suja Jones went out and before she left home, she asked her maid to keep an eagle eye on her husband (since she apparently suspected his moves). On returning, Suja's maid informed her that Mazurier spent with his daughter in a locked room for about two hours. Suja smelled something fishy and took her daughter to Baptist hospital and the medical report proved an attempted rape.

Notably, Pascal Mazurier worked as Chief of Joint Chancellory in French Consulate at Palace Grounds in Bangalore. He married Indian woman and has a daughter and two sons.
