Another attempt to destroy the modesty of a young woman and put the nation to shame has surfaced yet again. A staff member who works in the Pantry Car section of the train was arrested after he tried to molest a young girl on the Sealdah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, police said.
Mohd. Sheikh, 24, was the accused who attacked the girl late on Thursday night near Chandauli.
The girl immediately had alerted the passengers who helped her to escape the tragedy that could have ensued. The man was handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Mughalsarai. Police said the man was drunk and does not have any past criminal record.
The Gaya resident studied in Delhi mentioned that several people from the pantry car were drunk and lingered at the toilets. GRP officials mentioned that the investigations were on. A formal case had also been registered.
Earlier two other similar incidents have occurred on trains in Uttar Pradesh.
