Sonia accuses BJP in the fightback

As a counter-offensive measure, Sonia Gandhi, the President of Congress had been expected to rally the party by bolstering Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and launching a strong hand against BJP. She said that the BJP was holding the Parliament to ransom. She said that the opposition was playing negative politics against the Government.

"We need to fight the intemperate criticism and negative politics of BJP. They are holding Parliament to ransom," she said. She called for an effective rebuttal in the elections of 2014.  The government meanwhile had asked for a debate by the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while the BJP had sought nothing but his resignation in the CAG report on the coal blocks allocation issue.

"This is the handiwork of BJP, which shows scant respect for democracy. What more can be said when their senior most leader uses such words", the leader of Congress expressed her dissent while referring to the "mota maal" remarks of Sushma Swaraj, the Opposition leader indirectly.

She later acridly criticised BJP of resorting to blackmailing on a frequent basis as she called it their "Bread and Butter". She also said that BJP wanted things to go their way always and if something couldn't go their way they wanted it not to go in anyone's favor.

The Bharatiya Janata Party however in undeterred with the issue of the resignation of the PM on the CAG report. It has threatened that the house would not function till they achieve what has been demanded though the PM, according to the Congress President, is ready for a debate on the CAG reports of discrepancies in the coal block allocation.

Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 12 noon after an uproar in both the Houses.

The events that took place over the last week had emulated this week too with slight changes in the statements but the end result of the houses being adjourned very frequently. The Prime Minister was forced not to speak in both houses with the din of uproar from the parties. In a never before situation, the PM of India had to stay mum as the Opposition refused to hear his statements forcing him to lay back his papers. However, outside the Parliament he stated that the CAG report was controversial.
