20-year old Mumbai based Kingfisher model Poonam Pandey, who shot into sudden fame across the nation with her offer to go nude in case India won the 2011 cricket world cup, now says that she will not strip on screen.
“My offer to go nude was for my country and not for any cheap publicity. It should not be mistaken that I am ready to strip in films. I want to be an actress like any other actress of India,” Poonam told PTI in an interview today.
She said she didn’t go nude after the Indian victory as permission was denied to her by the BCCI.
Poonam now grabbed an offer to participate in a stunt reality show “Khatron Ke Khiladi” on Colors channel to be hosted by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. The show will be shot in Cape Town, South Africa.
The model says she is getting offers for item numbers in Bollywood but her immediate concentration is directed towards learning underwater swimming for the realty show. “It will be a very different show from other reality shows. They are just fake,” she said adding that her aim is to become a good and successful actress.
