In a sudden but nasty turn of events for the already beleaguered TDP, its prominent Telangana leader and Palakurthi MLA Errabilli Dayakara rao has reportedly decided to quit party and assembly membership protesting against the two-eyed theory of the party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu on the demand for separate state of Telangana.

Reports are abuzz that Dayakara rao will quit from both assembly and TDP in the ensuing budget session of the assembly and seek reelection from his constituency on the plank of separate Telangana as an independent candidate.

In fact, there are reports for a long time that senior leader Nagam Janardhan reddy would quit the party and assembly for the sake of Telangana to save his political future in his native Mahaboobnagar district but he has denied such reports several times.

Dayakara rao may however take the lead now and show the way for his colleagues in the TDP by quitting the assembly and also from the TDP. Dayakara rao has been keeping off from the party affairs in his native Warangal district for a long time.
