Hyderabad central crime station (CCS) officials today arrested Mr Sajjala Kesav, a close lieutenant of Bhanu Kiran, suspected killer of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri, according to informed sources.

Kesav is a well known realtor and belongs to the Anantapur district. The sources said CCS teams took him into custody at Dharmavaram this evening. Police arrested him after coming to know that Bhanu had made several calls to him on his mobile two days before the killing of Suri in Hyderabad.

Police have established that Bhanu financed him heavily in his real estate activity and also helped him in settling some transactions. It is also said that Kesav has owned several properties in Dharmavaram and some other places in Anantapur district, besides several lands and buildings in Bangalore city.

The CCS police will interrogate him on his relations with Bhanu and also to know his whereabouts.
