Its Known that Prince Mahesh Babu will be playing a lead role in a periodic film under the direction of legendary director Mani Ratnam. Now the latest buzz is that Mahesh Babu replaced with Ram Charan for that film, the reasons for changing the hero is not yet known.
It is a bilingual film, which will be made in both Tamil and Telugu languages, simultaneously. Tamil Stars such as Vijay and Vikram are also playing the other lead roles. The film is based on Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan that deals with the life and times of Raja Raja Chola and Pallavas.
Earlier we also heard that the film has titled "Ponniyin Selvan" in Tamil version and the title "Veerudu" was under consideration for Telugu version.
This historic project will be produced by Sun Pictures. Music will be scored by Oscar winner AR Rehman. This project will hit the floors in this year. This film is very important for the production house, as the fact is that, its earlier film “Robo”, failed to reach the expected success. One should agree that the production house is attempting for another risk by producing this film as Director Mani Ratnam’s last release “Villain” was a disaster.
As far as Mahesh Babu is concerned, he is right now busy with the shooting of “Dhookudu” under Sreenu Vytla direction. Heart throb of youth, Samantha is paired opposite Mahesh in “Dookudu”.
