Tollywood is one place that recognizes talent only after public approval at the box office. And this is also the place where even a small timer could turn, a celebrity, overnight. Earlier elite heroes used to work only with renowned filmmakers to climb the success ladder. But as times are changing, trends are also changing. Till yesterday established directors like V V Vinayak, Raja Mouli,  Puri Jagannath and Trivikram Srinivas were the most sought after by top league actors.

However the trends are rapidly diversifying and many actors now prefer fresh blood instead of the old wine. New age filmmakers like Addala Srikanth, Koratla Siva, Harish Shankar and Santosh Srinivas are now the most preferred directors of Tollywood.

Santosh became a sensation with his 'Kandireega,' while Koratla Siva put on the director hat with 'Mirchi.' On the other hand Harish Shankar brought back the lost luck to Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan through 'Gabbar Singh.' As people were slowly forgetting the multi-starer flicks and as families preferences watching films on televisions,  Srikanth made a difference.

Srikanth's 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalli Chettu' was awesomely entertaining without none of the usual masala elements, which was refreshing and welcomed across the globe.
