Until he recently understood the reason that jeopardized two of his marriages earlier, Tom Cruise could be considered blinded by his dedication to the eccentric religion Scientology. Only a few months ago he had been served a divorce notice by his ex-wife Katie Holmes and has also lost custody of his loved daughter, Suri and the needle of blame pointed to Scientology.

The Hollywood actor is now trying to everything possible to get back with his ex-wife, probably to make sure that his child has a good future. He has even gone as far as cutting links with the religion he has stuck with for 12 years.

The marriage was jeopardized after the 50-year old's obsession for the religion has been going overboard. Katie Holmes, 33, could no longer take the obsession and deeming that it would have a bad influence on her child, Suri she had filed for a divorce.

"Now he's lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office but have ended not one but two marriages. It was a terrifying and rude awakening for Tom when Katie served him with divorce papers. He's used to feeling undebatable and untouchable. When he lost Katie he felt a failure," a source said.

The Hollywood maverick took up the religion when he was married to his first wife Mini Rogers, 56 and later he had married actress Nicole Kidman, 45. The reason for both the marriages falling apart was blamed on the religion.
