AI Technique Used By Telangana Cops To Check Face Mask Norms Violations:- The Telangana cops are using the Artificial Intelligence system through the CCTVs to identify the people who are not using face masks during their public presence and their roaming in public places. This is the first of its kind process used in the country informed Director-General of Police for Telangana, M Mahender Reddy. The process will start soon in Hyderabad, Rachakonda and Cyberabad commissionerates. Computer vision and learning techniques on Closed-Circuit Television (CCTVs) are used to trace out the people who are roaming without face masks in public places.

L&T Smart World and Communications along with the Hyderabad police are using the techniques and analytic tools that are operating from the Command and Control Centre (CCC) at Cyberabad commissionerate. 335 cameras are assigned to be used for this purpose across the three limits. The local police will be informed after the pictures are captured. The government of Telangana made it mandatory to use face masks in public places and a fine of Rs 1000 will be imposed for all those who are spotted without face masks in public places in Telangana.
