Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa felicitated the master of masters music composer M S Viswanthan or MSV and his partner Ramamurthy. It was a star studded night at Chennai. On the occasion of the ruling party channel, Jaya TV's 14th anniversary, the celebrations were on. CM who was also a former actor praised the music combo of  Viswanathan-Ramamurthy for their tremendous melodies in their combination over fifty years and approximately 700 films. CM felt depressed over the Padma Bhushan award to the music duo. She went to inform that the center neglected the issue, inspite of her recommendations last year.

She also ascertained that a day was on the anvil when her say would have value at the center also. And then she would definitely vouch for their national recognition. On the Onam day the Palaghat (iyer) MSV 'Mellisai Mannar' (in Tamil Emperor of Melodies) as he is popularly known, and his partner, were felicitated. Many stars of of the Kollwood attended the event.
