No Govt Panel Doctor Saw Jayalalithaa In Hospital:- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa passed away on December 5th 2016 however the allegations about her health and speculations about her hospital stay continue to make rounds. Dr P Balaji, a government doctor who has been asked to attest the Chief Minister's thumb impressions regarding the party nominations for the bypolls registered his statement. He told Justice Arumughasamy commission that no government panel doctor saw Jaya in hospital.

He said that he and Sasikala were present when the thumb impressions were made. Among the seven doctors who appeared before the commission till date, Balaji was the only one who saw the former Chief Minister in Apollo Hospitals. He was asked to submit a written statement soon on this issue.

None of the state government doctors among the five member committee could see the former Chief Minister leave about the treatment said a source. A total of 16 people have been issued summons in this matter. The investigation is expected to be completed soon informed the source after which a detailed report will be submitted to the government.
