Ram Gopal Varma, who claims to be creative and show innovation in making his films, got the Bas Kijiye Bahut Ho Gaya (Please Stop Its Enough) award for the year 2010 at the third annual Golden Kela Awards.
The organizers announced this award for Ram Gopal Varma asking him not to make any more movies henceforth. The indication is ‘enough is enough and stop making films’. This particular award is every year given to those directors who continuously make dirty movies.
The awards were announced at the Ambience Mall in Gurgaon recently. The Golden Kela organization has instituted these awards similar to the Hollywood Razzies awards, which recognizes the worst in cinema.
Bollywood actor Shak Rukh Khan and actress Sonam Kapoor were named for the worst actor and worst actress awards for their movies ‘My name is Khan’ and ‘Aisha’ respectively.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali was named for the worst director award for his directorial venture ‘Guzaarish’.
The anti-Kela category awards, for the movies with the saving grace, were also announced for the year. Those awarded in this category were ‘Udaan’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘Love, Sex and Dhoka’, ‘Do Dooni Chaar’, ‘Peepli Live’ and ‘Tere Bin Laden’.
