Sri Lanka lift World T20 title

Sri Lanka's [SL] third attempt to win the World T20 title has finally achieved as they defeated India in the title contest yesterday in Dhaka. SL captain Malinga won the toss and put the opposition to bat first.  Rohit and Rahane opened the batting for India, however Mathews removed Rahane in his first over then came Virat Kohli who kept the score board running. With Rohit, he post a partnership of fifty runs and just when Rohit was looking danger, Herath removed him. Yuvraj came then and managed singles. But Yuvraj played many dot balls which also made Kohli out of strike. In the last four overs, India just managed 19 runs and made a total of 130 runs.

Batting second, Sri Lanka opener Perera was dismissed in the first over by Mohit Sharma. Followed by  Dilshan was out to Ashwin trying for a big shot. However, Jayawardene and Sangakkara made sure no further loss of wickets and scored according to the run rate. Sangakkara scored half century while Thisara finished the game with a boundary.

Virat Kohli was awarded with Man of the Tournament title.

     Sri Lanka: 134/4, Sangakkara 52 not out, Mohit 1/18, Raina 1/24
