Jayawardene's record making match with India

As India and Sri Lanka fight it out in the tri-series 2013 final in the Port of Spain, Mahela Jayawardene will make his own records. This match will be his 400th ODI.

This feat will make him he second Sri Lankan cricketer to reach the milestone. It comes after Sanath Jayasuriya has achieved it first. He will also become the third cricketer in the world to achieve this after Sachin Tendulkar and Jayasuriya.

In his 399 ODI's until now, Jayawardene has scored 11,237 runs, which includes 70 half-centuries and16 centuries. He has already set another record by becoming the first fielder with 200 catches to his credit.

Jayawardene is not only a trusted member of his team, but also a record making cricket player. The India Sri Lanka ODI tri-series 2013 has ensured that.
