Ind vs Pak India avoid whitewash

It is very rare that you see a team win a game due to its excellent fielding efforts and the same has come to the rescue of the Indians yesterday during the Third ODI between the eternal rivals, India and Pak which marked an end to the bilateral series between the two for the year.

The Indians finished at a very poor total of 167 losing all wickets. Only notable scores were from the skipper, MS Dhoni, Raina, Yuvraj Singh and Ravindra Jadeja. Most of the rest finished under two digits or just eked out into the double digit scores. Saeed Ajmal, the hero for Pak sent five batsmen to the pavilion while the 7”1' Irfan managed to take two wickets. Junaid, Hafeez and Gul took a wicket each.

The Pakistanis had a tough time with the bat too with great bowling by Ishant Sharma, Shami Ahmed, and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. Ravindra Jadeja's exceptionally economic bowling has kept the opponents restricted under 160 allowing the Indians to win with 10 runs, while having seven balls to spare.

Hafeez who looked threatening with two fours in Ishant's last over fell prey in the 5th ball after being caught by Yuvraj ending their innings. The fielding in the game was exceptional with very few incidents that can be pointed out.

All in all India has won the final game in the bilateral series avoiding a whitewash and a lot of shame. We are yet to see how it would perform against the returning tourists, England as the matches would start within a few days again.
