Ind vs Pak: Will India prove the Friday superstitions wrong?

The final T20 against Pakistan for this year is today and on a Friday, a day they consider to have the luck of an Irishman. The game today at Motera, Ahmedabad is, astrologically, lucky for the Paks already but are other factors in India's favor at least?

Not really, I should say. India has a poor batting front and the bowling is exceptionally weak but for the new found talent, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. Pak on the other hand have a great bowling attack who are true match winners for the short form of the game especially. Consider the last match for instance. From 77 no loss in 11 overs to 133/9 in 20 overs was not just luck. Though they don't have a batting lineup that is boast-worthy, they sure are capable enough to score runs of the bat and chase targets.

Indians should probably opt bowling if they win the toss, considering that we cannot set high targets and pressurize the opponent. Restricting them to a bare minimum would spell victory for the team at the moment.

Skipper MS Dhoni should know better not to leave out main spinners from the game for Motera, a pitch that is usually slow and pro-spin. With Ashwin and Ojha on the starting 11, India will have better bowling options too.

Hafeez on the other hand, as Pak's Skipper is confident and undeterred by the poor performance of their top order batsmen. He said it was just one bad day saying, “everybody can't perform everyday”.

Will the confidence of the Pak's be shattered tonight? Will India prove the Friday superstitions wrong?
