I won't parry responsibility: Dhoni

Thrashed by the England Cricket Team who managed to win the second consecutive test after winning in Mumbai and then in Kolkata, Indian cricket team is ashamed of the mistakes they made in the game. However, there is good news to it too when skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that they could identify the faults and hope to rectify them in the upcoming matches.

He called the last two few series, against Australia and England, their low phase which clearly showed the lack of competition. He said that the performance of the batsmen in the team was abysmal and that they failed to perform on a good wicket. He added that the score in the first innings is what can decide the course of the match significantly, while pointing out to the pressure games that ensue if you fail initially. "Batsmen have to make sure if they get a start, they make it big."

He was relatively more satisfied with the bowling side of the team, congratulating the spinners for their work while urging the pacers to do better and assist the slower bowlers.

Talking about any change in captaincy, Dhoni deftly dodged the question leaving it to the decision of the selectors.

Talking about leveling the series in the final match and the difficulties posed, he said that he would face the challenge with his experience. A good team that is performing well doesn't need a leader but it is the troubled times which need an experienced leader.

He said that “I quit captaincy” is probably the easiest answer for anyone in his situation which basically meant shirking responsibility all together. However, MSD, we know, is not that kind of a guy. He said his responsibility lies in gelling the team together and the selectors know what to best in such times about leading the team.

Who ever is suggesting that MSD should take the blame for the loss completely and resign is putting no thought into the comments and merely abusing his mouth. As the skipper himself said it was just one low phase and we can hope to see the team get together better on all fronts to level the series, 2-2.
