Dream11 to Sponsor IPL 2020 Title: Deal Closed for Rs 222 Cr:- Chinese mobile giant Vivo is out of the deal for IPL 2020 and the BCCI had a lot of options for the title sponsorship for the year. Fantasy sports platform Dream11 signed a deal worth Rs 222 crore with the BCCI for the title sponsorship rights for IPL 2020. The season starts on September 19th in UAE after the coronavirus pandemic spread is huge in the country. IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel said "Fantasy sports platform Dream11 wins IPL title sponsorship rights with a bid of ₹222 crore,". Multinational conglomerate Tata Group and education technology company Unacademy were also in the race to sponsor IPL 2020.

But Dream11 outbid them with the deal. IPL 2020 will commence on September 19th and will end up on November 10th. The entire schedule is prepared and an announcement would be made by BCCI soon. Vivo which paid Rs 440 crores for IPL annually dropped out after the border issues between India and China recently. IPL 2020 will happen for 53 days and it will have 10 afternoon matches that will start at 3:30 PM IST and the evening matches will commence from 7:30 PM IST. The BCCI made a statement about the same last week. BCCI has been looking for a sponsor who will have a turnover of Rs 300 crores per year. IPL 2020 will commence in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
